Make sure red light is on outside so people are quiet when they are walking past and so that no noises from outside are heard on the recording. Also, check that all microphones are positions correctly and plugged in. Take each channel off record when finished. Create new track called  Bass (the next instrument to record is bass, usually recorded at the same time as drums) > Put microphone through Channel 9>  arm microphone> press source twice> click record and play when you want to record. This plays the previous track so that the musician can play along with the track to keep in time, whilst recording at the same time. To save and quit - File> save session, File> quit Special> Shutdown Turn Key off at wall. Opewindow> on kick drum> click one of the small circles> go to TDM plug ins> gate (mono) (noise gate) Move slides in window to get the best sound Do for the rest of kit - you don t need to do it for any part of the kit that hasn t been used and the hi-hat. Go to kick drum> click a different small circle> go to TDM plug ins > 4 band-EQ Frequency needs to be between 20Hz (low) and 20Khz (high). Bass is low, set it at a bit above 20hz as not many people can hear it. Play around with it to get the best sound. On snare> Little circle> TGM presets> find reverb unit>  D-verb is a good one, play around with different reverbs to get the sound you want. Bring in hi-hat, move fader to how you like it Panning - bass drum is 0 (middle), 1st tom a lot to the left, 2nd tom & floor tom to the right. Bring in overheads to the level you like, using the fader. Bass Guitar - Mix Menu> Solo Bass. Virtually same process as what you did when using TGM presets on drum kit. Instead of reverb, you can use different effects, any that you like. Find a fader level for the bass. Also do this for the guitar, add effects if you like. You need to take bass out & add treble. Vocals - Same procedure> add compressor effects Add vocal leveller and 4-band EQ Create a new track> change mono to stereo on master fader. To boost vocals, press button next to green light on mixer for vocals 1&2. Keep fingers on fader, turn up when it wants boosting. Do opposite if it you want to fade out or highlight the bit you want to fade, click edit and fade. Finalising> master fader> TGM Master X5> Factory Defaults> Choose whichever one you want> recommended is  CD Master . Mix Master 5 is also good. To bounce to disc - File> Bounce to disc> Format change to stereo interleafed> resolution to 16> Click bounce> Save song, name your song and save it in correct folder.
